Hello to our dedicated OilTrails users!
As the summer sun heats up, so do our app updates! We’ve been diligently preparing OilTrails for the upcoming iOS17 release and bringing forward functionalities that elevate your experience.
Completing the Offline Lookup Feature Across Western Canada: We’re proud to say that after introducing Offline LSD and NTS lookups across the majority of Western Canada, we’ve taken it a step further. Our latest versions now bring Offline Reverse Geocoding for BC, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Simply drop a pin on the map, and OilTrails will fetch the LSD or NTS location, even without an internet connection. And to our Alberta users who’ve been enjoying this – the rest of Western Canada can now join in the fun! Please note: presently, reverse geocoding is not available in the Peace River Block or the East Meridians, but will continue to function as before.
Faster, More Efficient Lookups: We’ve streamlined how locations are searched and retrieved. This not only supports offline capabilities across Canada but also makes your searches quicker.
We have made sweeping changes to how the app looks up locations and introduced new systems to do so. With the integration of new features a few unexpected bugs have made an appearance. This has been complicated by the release of the iOS17 public beta at the same time. But fret not! We’re on a vigilant bug-hunt, releasing fixes as swiftly as they come to our notice.
Experiencing any glitches? Don’t suffer in silence! Reach out to us with specific locations causing issues. Our dedicated support team is on standby, ready to provide interim coordinates if the app isn’t functioning optimally for you. You can reach us anytime by filling out a bug report in app (Settings > Bug Report) or here.
Your patience, feedback, and unwavering support mean the world to us. We’re continuously working to ensure OilTrails is the trusty navigation companion you deserve. Until next time, navigate safely and stay connected!
